I am very much supportive of affordable housing in Palo Alto and all other cities in the Bay Area. However, this parcel at 801 Alma should only be for senior affordable housing, not families and children. Alma is not a suitable place for children to play, either is the roof of a four story building! The addition of families makes the entire project too dense for the size of the property. There is simply not enough room for the open space that should be included for children and parents.
